Aveda Naturally Straight and Dry Remedy Oil Free Duo Sample Pack

For those of you who don’t already know, I have a little bit of a natural curl to my hair that I have a really hard time trying to keep straight. Most of the time it just gets to the point where I don’t really care about the waves and try to appreciate them. But there are those odd days where I see a woman with beautiful straight hair and wish I could just get my hair to obey my commands and straighten up, lol. So naturally, I’ve tried a lot of different products and some do work, but most don’t. I was actually excited about getting my Aveda sample pack to try out. I had high hopes.

Unfortunately, for my first use I wasn’t too impressed. I felt it just didn’t work well enough for me. I could have been the user operator’s fault, lol. I never know if the amount I use is the right amount for the amount of hair that I have. I always seem to have a problem with that when using any sort of hair products. Anyways, I found that the Naturally Straight did work somewhat but not really different from others that I have used in the past.

For the Aveda Dry Remedy Oil, it seemed like it might have been good because I swear I noticed my dry ends were a little more softer but again not much different from others that I’ve used in the past. I do have really dry ends and my hair is starting to be a little thinner 🙁 but like I said, it did help a little, it just wasn’t as magical as I had hoped.

And for the real test of straightening my hair, I suppose it did decrease the bounciness a little but not as much as I would have liked. I guess with high expectations, you often get disappointed.

Overall, I think thought this free duo sample pack of Aveda Naturally Straight and Dry Remedy Oil was a great way to try out a product that had a lot of potential to be awesome, too bad it wasn’t what I was expecting. But don’t be discouraged, if you have no curls or minimal waves in your hair you might want to still give it a try.
