Katy Perry Killer Queen Perfume Free Sample

Wow! How many fragrances can a girl come out with? Katy’s gone and done it again and now you too can try this free sample of Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume. What you get with this sample is a 1.5ml or 0.05 fl.oz. eau de parfum mini spray (you’re average size). The little spray bottle comes inside a red carded protective covering with the Killer Queen logo.

As soon as I got my sample, the first thing I noticed was the packaging and presentation of Killer Queen. I don’t know if it’s just me or what but it really reminds me of Coach and something that they’d come out with? I’m not sure why I feel that way, could be because of the use of majestic symbols.

I got my sample a while ago and waited a few days to actually try it, I’m not sure why. Maybe I had low expectations. well, it did meet my expectations and then perhaps a bit more. It’s a nice scent but not really new or spectacular to me. It’s basically a moderately heavy sweet scent. I really notice chocolate, jasmine and rose as the top notes. Not my favorite combinations. I hate to say it (sorry Katy) but I find it almost to be similar to a cheap perfume.

It’s kind of funny. Lately these sort of “scents” seem to be the popular thing right now, the clubbing fragrance. I’m a little too old for that so it’s not my thing, but I think that’s who Katy is trying to market to. I guess I can’t blame her. If it works for some then why not. Make a sweet floral fragrance and put it in a fancy bottle and there you go.

Anyhoo, I also just want to say that this isn’t your typical expensive celebrity fragrance. It’s surprisingly moderately priced if you decide you like the sample and want to go with the full size bottle. You can probably buy the 3.4 ounce bottle for around $30.

Like I said earlier I didn’t expect much from my free sample of Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume but I’d still recommend you give it a try, just don’t rush out or go out of your way and maybe lower your expectations like I did 😉
