My sample came in the mail on a day that was so miserable and dreary, a day where the rain just kept on coming down and wouldn’t stop. One smell of this fragrance took all the gloom away and took me to a tropical place. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been on a holiday in 3 years and the slightest thing will set my imagination off, I don’t know, lol. But I do know that this is a very tropical smelling fragrance. I’m not sure if it’s something a man would really wear, because I do smell a perfume here, not cologne.

Virgin Island Water has a combination of coconut and citrus notes, not overly sweet, but a nice blend. There are other less noticeable notes like Jasmin and Ylang Ylang and perhaps ginger. And the lasting power is fairly decent I got up to 5 hours. Overall, I’d recommend this to anyone who doesn’t mind a “sweet smelling” fragrance. Not sure if I’d recommend this to the men out there.
