I’ve never really been one to wear mascara and when I do it’s usually just because it’s a sample and I want to see how well it works. Anyways, I figured with this product being made by Benefit must be high quality, well, I was wrong. It’s perhaps the worst mascara I’ve ever tried. I’m not sure where to start, but “they” sure missed the boat with this one. First, the brush is just huge, it made it difficult to apply the mascara because I couldn’t really see what I was doing.

Next, the consistency is really thick and tary, so the application process makes it feel like you’re clumping it on. Maybe the sample I got was not too good and maybe started to dry out? I don’t know. All I noticed was the my lashes looked messy and stuck together 🙁

And last, but not least, the smell was so strong it was stinging my eyes which resulted in my eyes watering and smearing the mascara then causing red circles around my eyes (I have sensitive skin).

After just the one use and only a few hours, I washed it off and haven’t tried it since. Not sure if I will ever try it again. It’s so strange that Benefit would come out with a product like this that I can’t help but think that maybe it’s because the sample I got was actually a “bad” one. Hopefully that’s just the case.
